Christmas - Easter - Now...

Jesus Christ was born in a manger on Christmas day...

Matthew 1:18-25 NKJV:

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

24 Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, 25 and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus.

Mary did you know? - If it doesn't play click on this link before continuing on. -

It was not a silent night. Although I love the song "Silent Night" it's not true. That night was anything but silent. There was most likely city noises, animal noises and so much more...

Point of Grace - Labor of Love -

People will doubt, there are so many "what ifs." But with Jesus you just know, some how. Some kind of peace settles in your heart...

Nicole Nordeman - What if -

John 19:17-24:

"17 And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, 18 where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center. 19 Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was:
JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

20 Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.

21 Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the King of the Jews.”’”

22 Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”

23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top in one piece. 24 They said therefore among themselves, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says:
“They divided My garments among them,
And for My clothing they cast lots.”
Therefore the soldiers did these things."

Nicole Nordeman - Why - This one has a few bloody pictures, but the song is amazing!

John 19:28-30:

"28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit."

Third Day - Thief -

Luke 24:22-23:

"22 Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. 23 When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive."

He's alive -

Will we be asleep? Will we be left behind? If we had lived back then would we have believed? Many of the believers were people who were cast out, not people who had a good back ground. I'm not saying this with the thought that because we have a good back round, because we have good parents, that we wouldn't have believed. It's just something to think about...

My Prayer...

"My Prayer...For all time...

Lord give me EYES that will shine your light, that sparkle when I laugh, and that will see the people you want me to help.

Give me EARS that are ready to listen to every problem whether big or small.

Please Father give me LIPS that speak the truth, and are always ready to speak out
against evil.

Jesus give me ARMS that are always open wide, ready to welcome, and ready to hold.

Give me HANDS that are willing to do Your work, ready to help out and ready to comfort.

Lord I ask that you give me LEGS that are ready to take me where you lead me.

Please give me FEET that will walk the path that you set before me.

Lord give me a BODY that is ready to be your TEMPLE. Ready to do your WILL, and ready to do your WORK.

I ask that you will show me the people you want me to SEE, so that I can LISTEN, and I ask for the WORDS to speak. I ask that you will help me give COMFORT, and also the STRENGTH to do you work. Please help me walk on the PATH that you are LEADING me on. Lord I want my body to be your TEMPLE."

QS of the Week 2/12/12

Christmas isn't just about the gifts, or the lights, or even the music. It's about hope, joy, love, light.
Hope: If Jesus hadn't been born, there would be no such thing as Christians.
Joy: I wish I could have been there to see the face of Mary.
Love: He was born, so he could die! For us...
Light: And the star shown bright.

Have a Merry, Merry Chrstimas!

~Sarah

Verse of the Week 2/12/12

NKJV:

Luke 1:26:38:

26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”

29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”

35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”

38 Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

Luke 1:46-55:

The Song of Mary

46 And Mary said:
“My soul magnifies the Lord,
47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
48 For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant;
For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
49 For He who is mighty has done great things for me,
And holy is His name.
50 And His mercy is on those who fear Him
From generation to generation.
51 He has shown strength with His arm;
He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
52 He has put down the mighty from their thrones,
And exalted the lowly.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things,
And the rich He has sent away empty.
54 He has helped His servant Israel,
In remembrance of His mercy,
55 As He spoke to our fathers,
To Abraham and to his seed forever.”

Chad is leaving for Haiti this Monday, with my Dad. They want to go back for a week, Chad wants to go back to where he had surgery and thank the people there. He also plans to see some old friends. And go back to the spot where he was shot. This will be hard for him; and he needs our prayers.

Tomato; Fruit or Veggie? RQ

What's a Vegetable? ---
        A vegetable is an edible plant or part of a plant, but usually excludes seeds and most sweet parts. This typically means the leaf, stem, or root of a plant. {Wikipedia}

What's a Fruit?
       The sweet and fleshy product of a tree or other plant that contains seed and can be eaten as food. {Google}

What's a Tomato?
       A red, fleshy plant, with seeds in the middle. Often grown on a green leafy plant/tree. {me}

Wait!
      Cucumbers have seeds!

Conclusion; Not only is a Tomato a fruit but so is a cucumber! Thats correct, a tomato and a cucumber are  FRUIT! The reason they are often confused is because they are NOT sweet.

QS of the Week 3/10/12

Quote:

"Faith makes things possible, not easy."

-Unknown

Verse of the Week 3/10/12

NKJV:

"13 Judge among yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? 15 But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering. 16 But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God."

~1 Corinthians 11:13-16

Once again people would say that "her hair is given to her fro a covering." But I would like to note that the words in Greek are different. The "covering" that we should put on. And the hair "covering". Are two different words in Greek. Another thing is that we CAN NOT "out on" our hair, as the Bible says.
Please comment is you have questions!

QS of the Week 2/10/12

Saying:

"Do one thing everyday that makes you happy."

Verse of the Week 2/10/12

Why do I where a vail? ...

NKJV:

"Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you. But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.
But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved. For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered.
For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. For man is not from woman, but woman from man. Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man.
10 For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.
11 Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord. 12 For as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from God."

~1 Corinthians 11:2-12

Some people would say their hair is the covering. But two things cause problems there. The first is that if the man is NOT supposed to cover his head, and the hair is the covering, then men should shave there heads. Second, it says that if you are not covered then you should be shaved. But if your hair is your covering, and your not covered, then you wouldn't have any hair to shave! If you have questions or comments please just hit the "comment" button.

Rabbits!!!

We have two female floppy eared rabbits that we have to give away.

Molly - Female - Between 3-4 years old - FREE - (Comes with a water bottle and food bowl.)

Molly is a very even tempered rabbit. She is a larger rabbit, and does not eat much. (I know that doesn't make sense.) She is very tame and is easy to catch. (We lock our cats up sometimes and then let the rabbits run.) Molly is white with light brown spots. She has a fluffy white tale, a pink nose, and long ears. :) Molly's teeth do need to be clipped every three weeks or so. (You can clip them with a small wire clipper.) During this time Molly will sit quietly while you hold her. ( There are times when she may struggle.) Molly is quite and you can get the best pictures with her.

Benjamin - Female - Between 2-3 years old - FREE - (Comes with water bottle and food bowl.)

Benjamin is Molly's kid. She got her name because we thought she was a boy until she had baby's. Benjamin is a dark brown with mixed spots of light brown, black, gray and a little white. Benjamin is fat and enjoys a large meal. Although she is tame we have trouble catching her. (We no longer let her out.) She looks like a stuffed animal with long ears and a pink nose. Benjamin chews on a wood block that we placed in her pen, so you do not have to clip her teeth. Although Benjamin is hard to catch she is easy to hold and is very fluffy.

We also have a rabbit box. (More information on the box will come.)

Molly and Benjamin are good friends and get along together nicely.

Please call or email me if your interested.

My Birthday...

Today I turned 15 years old. This year I don't plan to have a party because we have so much going on. Last year this time I went to an elephant show in Thailand! Next year this time I hope to be back in Thailand. I don't really want anything for my birthday, because I have everything that I need. I know that sounds Cornie but it's true. :) Another day, another year, life is short, and I'm beginning to realize how short.
